I am an RN, dog mom, wife and all round outdoor adventurist. I live in VT which is pretty much nirvana. There are trails right outside my door and I live within running/ biking distance of my best running friend. I love my job as a critical care nurse. I get to help families navigate through possible the worst times in their lives while I care for their loved ones. It is intense, but so rewarding. I definitively play hard to decompress from work. My favorite activities are trail running in the summer and back country skiing and skate skiing in the winter. This summer I doubled down on trail running and had my biggest mileage weeks ever while I trained for the UTMB OCC. It was super fun to see what my body was capable of. The race experience was once in a lifetime. It felt t like the trail running olympics with people all along the trails cheering. Picky bars literally go with me everywhere. I discovered them 8 years ago when I found out I could not eat gluten. They have been my go to ever since. They are in my scrub pockets at work, all my packs and jackets, and even my glove compartment. I like that picky bars taste delicious and don’t give me a stomach bomb. I am also a big fan of picky oats and Drizzle (BEST THING EVVVVER). I believe in the values of Picky Bars and would love to continue on as an ambassador.
