I’ve been a runner for majority of my life to a pint where I started letting it define me. I started running as a way to cope with losing my older brother and relied on running as a grounding board throughout my life. I made my closest friends and even met my husband through running. Running was my life. Until I became a mother. I had my son in June 2021 and I have been rediscovering myself over the last year and a half. It has been so enlightening but also a huge relief. Running used to be so much of my life and I added so much pressure on myself. Now it’s taken a backseat and I am having so much fun. And the kicker is I am actually faster and fitter now than I was pre-baby. And my wind and successes mean so much more now that I have my small little family cheering me on every step of the way.
