I have been adventure racing around the world and at all levels of the sport for the last fifteen years. In 2017 and 2018, my teammates and I won the US Adventure Racing Association national championship. Just last week, competed again, this time as an all-female team. There, we earned the top spot in the all-women's division and sixth overall.
I am also co-founder of Rootstock Racing, a nonprofit event promotion organization based out of Philadelphia. We aim to offer accessible adventures to outdoor enthusiasts of all levels, and we're committed to creating inclusive spaces in the sport. This year, we held the inaugural Endless Mountains Adventure Race, a five-day and 550-kilometer journey through the wilds of western Pennsylvania. The event, part of the Adventure Racing World Series, drew more than 30 teams from around the nation.
Finally, I am the chair of the board of the US Adventure Racing Association, a member of the organization's DEI Committee, and a mentor for the Women of Adventure Racing program.
In my non-adventure racing life, I am an historian and a professor, and a mom to two adventure-loving kids.
